![]() ![]() Here, catalystz kills Ornstein just as Smough comes in with his wide Trample Charge attack. When you kill either of them a cutscene will begin, and it could be at just the moment the other is in the middle of an attack. But in one fight it frequently can: Ornstein and Smough. There aren’t many places this can happen, because Dark Souls’ bosses are almost always dying or otherwise engaged when cutscenes trigger. Tables have never been lootable but cupboards, benches, sinks, desks, etc are all lootable UNLESS they are broken or already open, which you can tell visually.Īnyway if you don't like it, that's completely up to you but I strongly recommend giving it a shot and getting used to the new systems, because imo this is the best release yet (and I've been playing since A9.) It's been this way with every major release, things change and people don't like those changes until they get used to them, and then they don't like whatever the next changes are.OK, so what happened? The bug causes an active hitbox to invisibly persist in the world if it exists at the moment a cutscene starts. Maybe server sync/lag? Any lootable object should be lootable. But you won't be doing much at level 1 with a wooden club.Īs for not being able to loot things, I don't understand what the issues is. No joke, in my current MP game I specialize in clubs and it is awesome. Once we do, we can smack irradiated around with baseball bats like pinatas. Melee is most certainly NOT broken, but we need to adapt to the new rules. Yes the mechanics have changed, and trying to melee like it's still A16 will result in failure. This complain has come up many times, and has been answered many times. I just assumed it was crappy implementation of the "glancing blow" thing they put in and was quietly hoping they will improve it. When I am feeling rushed I jump on them to finish breaking them all the way. The stationary objects also occasionally present issues, though none so bad as the spike traps and trying to repair them or bust them apart with an axe. ![]() Not all the time but I will once in awhile clip right through the head or body on a power attack and get whacked by the zeds instead of it getting hit at all. I wiped entirely myself, went into appdata to be sure it was all gone, and I have hitbox issues like that with zeds occasionally. ![]() Though some zombies have poor hitboxes around their shoulders and a few other kinda bulging spots where it looks like a beefier model on the same skeleton/hitbox of a less macho zombie. It can’t hurt anyway, I don’t see these issues much myself. It could be issues that stem from file corruptions from the older versions that weren’t cleared properly or something. Did you let your game just update to A18, or did you do what you’re really supposed to do and fully reinstall, even as far as uninstalling as well as clearing out the remaining files to fully purge the game from your system before reinstalling? Originally posted by Chaoslink:Real question. I'll hit the table from this angle for sure. Why do I get cobblestone? And such a weird sound for a wooden table?ĭeduce that you are hitting through the table. This is especially weird for the tables, which are bloody RIDDLED WITH DRAWERS.īut maybe you can get something out of them by tool-harvesting? You get hit again, but you manage to land a killing blow on the zombie. Especially considering how zombies have always loved to "skip" through animations by this weird "jump-cut" like motions so you don't even see as it gets up. Now, once again, I like it thematically, but as it is right now it is completely worthless. You've lost half your health at this point, but you hit it this time. Because they sometimes get reduces attack cooldown now. It should have been a clean hit, but it wasn't. Weapon clearly went through zombies's head, you can see its texture clip through the zombie. Especially considering what happens next.) (While it feels kinda nice thematically, there is no counterplay to that. It charges you with insane speed for a 'walking' condition. You hit it again, but this time it doesn't reel back. You hit a zombie in the head, it reels back a bit. I've waited for 18 since 17 destroyed pretty much everything I've enjoyed about 16 and was hopeful when I read the patchnotes. ![]()
